Maxell, a Japanese Company established in 1961, has been in the field of Data Storage since the 1960s. Maxell was the first in Japan to produce Cassette Tape back in 1966 and in 1976, Maxell continue to become the first in Japan to produce 8" Floppy Disk. Subsequently, we became one of the first manufacturers to manufacture IC Memory Cards in Japan. More recently in the 2000s, Maxell launched the world's first iVDR-standard hard disk drive in 2007.
